Welcome to Innovation and Early Careers Skills Exchange Pilot (IECSEP)

IECSEP - the Early Careers stream application form

This application form is for the Early Careers stream. If you want to apply for the Innovation stream please return to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) website and select the Innovation stream application form.

You can stop and save your application at any time, but make sure your application is completed and submitted before the application round closes. You will not be able to submit your application after that time.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your application is complete at the time you submit it. Please make sure you have uploaded all the required documents and answered all the required questions on each page before you submit your application. Please use the 'review and submit' feature to review the form before you submit.

Applications not finalised in the system by the above date will not be accepted.

You will be required to upload documents at specified points of the application form. There are no limits to the number of files you upload in support of a given question. The size limit is 25MB per individual file but it is recommended you keep individual files below 5MB where possible.

Process

Your application to participate in IECSEP will be processed by DFAT. If your application to IECSEP is successful, you will be sent a letter of support from DFAT via email.

Please note a letter of support does not guarantee you an Australian visa - successful IECSEP applicants will need to apply to the Department of Home Affairs for a Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (subclass 403) Government Agreement stream to live and work in Australia under IECSEP. The letter of support from DFAT must be provided as part of your visa application.

Please familiarise yourself with the requirements of the Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (subclass 403) Government Agreement stream which can be found here: Temporary Work (International Relations) (subclass 403) visa (homeaffairs.gov.au)

Unsuccessful applicants will also be advised by email. Unsuccessful applicants may re-apply next time IECSEP is open for applications.
